Overview
Your appliance is based off your impressions. The DEEPER your impressions, the better fit of your appliance.
⚠️PARTIAL & DENTURE BUYERS: Take upper AND lower impressions.
⚠️If you had a tooth removal, you need to wait at least 1 month before doing your impressions.
If you own existing dentures, you may have to wear your existing denture to take your impression. Click HERE before doing your impressions to determine if you need to.
Step 1: Test Mouth Tray

Test your mouth trays. All your teeth should fit in the tray. There should be some space between your teeth and the tray wall.
If your tray does not fit, you can order new trays HERE.
Step 2: Take Impressions

UNDER 30 SEC: KNEAD AND MIX PUTTY
Prepare a timer! Do not use latex gloves and do not have any open flames near the putty. Do not divide the putty. If you divide the putty, you will not have enough coverage.
Quickly knead and mix: 1 white + 1 colored putty for under 30 sec until they are one uniform color. There should be no white streaks and the putty should still be soft after mixing.
UNDER 30 SEC: PUT PUTTY INTO UPPER TRAY TO COVER WHOLE TRAY THEN INSERT
Put putty into tray and cover the whole tray. Distribute putty evenly. If you are doing a partial, you can put more putty where your missing teeth are.
To insert: pull your lips out of the way and then in one swift motion, USE YOUR FINGERS TO PRESS THE TRAY DEEP (AS FAR AS IT CAN GO) INTO YOUR TEETH AND ROOF OF MOUTH. Your teeth should touch the bottom of the tray when you press.
5 MIN: HOLD TRAY STILL FOR PUTTY TO SET
Hold the tray in place with your fingers for 5 minutes for putty to set. Do not move or wiggle the tray while the putty is still soft. This will distort your impression!
GENTLY REMOVE TRAY
Warning: Putty dries hard.
Remove tray by releasing gently. Leave impressions in their tray to send in.

REPEAT PROCESS FOR LOWER IMPRESSION (REQUIRED FOR ALL DENTURES)
After completing impressions, rinse impressions under cold water and let air dry before sending in.
Summary:
- Under 30 sec- Knead and mix putty (no white streaks)
- Under 30 sec-Distribute putty into upper tray and insert
- 5 min- Hold tray in place to set
- Final- Remove tray
- Repeat- Repeat process for lower impression (required for all dentures)
- Rinse + Air Dry- Rinse impressions and let air dry before sending in
✅TIP: Complete impression steps 1-3 in quick succession. Do not wait too long between those steps. Putty is time sensitive and will harden and be less accurate the longer you wait.
✅TIP: For upper impressions: Pressing the tray into the roof of your mouth to leave no air gaps will result in a better fitting appliance!
Step 3 (Denture Buyers Only): Choose Tooth Shade

Refer to the tooth shade guide above to select your desired color. Write down the tooth color you have chosen.
Don't worry about the size and shape of the teeth, we will find the right size and shape according to your impression.
