Putty was divided/not distributed evenly

SOLUTION: Distribute putty evenly to cover whole tray. You may put more putty where your missing tooth/teeth are.
Do not divide putty, you will not have enough coverage.

Teeth scraping

SOLUTION: Do not remove tray until putty has completely set.
Do not remove tray while putty is still soft/unset, then re-insert back, this will distort the impression.
